We captured Quinn's little smile on camera for the first time this week. He is a very smiley and talkative guy! He'll smile and coo at just about anyone who will make eye contact with him. Very social. And luckily he doesn't even seem to notice the camera so he's easy to photograph.
Now Vera, sweet Vera. She makes us work for the smiles, and she doesn't just give them away to anyone. She's really quite serious (though she does have a silly side, of course), and very descriminating about who she graces with her smiles. You should see her stare people down on the bus! Vera was smiling at us for quite some time before we were able to get a picture of it, as she was mesmerized by the sight of the camera and would stare blankly anytime it came out. To get this picture I had to talk and smile and coo at her and then, when the time was right, quickly jerk the camera into place and snap before she new what was happening. I think it's better that I didn't get her whole face in the picture. This way we'll always be reminded of Vera's early personality (and her intense fascination with the camera!)
