David may very well be the greatest father of all time. He's in the top thirty...at least. If you are thinking of becoming a father I highly recommend that you consult him. He's pretty amazing.
The role of fatherhood (not unlike that of motherhood) is so undervalued, and men do not get recognized for their amazing fathering the way they are recognized for other accomplishments. Which is so so so sad. I'm too tired to get on my soap box and elaborate on this tonight. I'll leave it at this: David is an amazingly loving, connected, aware and skilled father. And that is ridiculously important.
