Fun at the Fair

We had a great time at the Oregon State Fair last weekend. Vera and Quinn were too little to enjoy the rides, but they had a great day climbing around in the "Toddler Zone" and petting goats, pigs, deer and llamas at the petting zoo.

Matthew and Jena enjoy some beer and music.

Vera indulges her love for "fast trucks" by driving this John Deere tractor.
David tries to kiss the llama.
Vera laughs at the swishing tail of this pig.
Even Quinn loved petting the goats!

Wow, your fair is early....ours is mid Oct and we haven't been in a petting zoo since the salmonella or e coli outbreak at the fair a few years ago! That was all the news could find to report on that year....
We love the fair, but for us it is pretty pricey. The kids want to ride all the rides now and buy food and make a day of it. Fun isn't always free anymore. Someday we will do 4H and enter something in the fair....
